   Summary

   The hand of fate was cruel when it took from her all she detested - and all she loved, too.

   Bittersweet was their reunion and short for they found themselves at odds - and apart again - by choice this time. When peace was achieved at last and the world demanded a return to the norm she did not stay to see it set to rights. Tearing herself away from the grasp of Kings and Queens, Lords and Ladies, all of whom would want her to perform a role she long ago wished to deny herself. And to do it, she would go where no man dare follow.

   Yet many years with only ones thoughts for company doubts began to creep in. If she had too easily abandoned all she had fought to return to? If she had not given those she loved another chance?

   Was she following her hurt... or her heart?
