Kissing distance, his mind supplies, like that’s an actual unit of measurement. “You’ve got to respect—“ Hongjoong is lecturing and sometimes, despite PR training so intense it should count as his military service, Wooyoung still finds that his thoughts turn into actions faster than he can keep up.
That’s how he ends up planting a fast, chaste kiss on Hongjoong’s lips.

The question was on his lips, what the hell are you doing here, but that would be playing into those murderous hands. He needed to get out of there before—
"Can I have my ice cream?" Tian Tian trotted up with a cherubic smile and an outstretched hand.
Shu Lang took the cones, handed the vanilla down to the boy and realized with glacial certainty that he was going to have to commit murder.

He’s lit his second-to-last match to see exactly what he expects, the dingy interior of the hut, the debris floating across the top of the invading ocean, and the splay of black hair faintly visible under the surface, strands spreading apart like seaweed on the shore.
