Summary
Stiles growls softly. He can’t seem to get the beak right, it’s too narrow, disproportionate with the rest of the head. He sighs, charcoal smudged fingers leaving grey marks on his cheeks as he drags a hand over his face. The crow he’s studying hops closer, squawking indignantly when it sees Stiles drawing.
“I’m trying,” Stiles mutters. The crow squawks again, hopping back along the branch. The setting sun casts a warm orange glow through the gaps in the treetops. His mother will probably come collect him for dinner soon; he needs to get this right before the light fades.

Bookmarker's Notes
This was so good, really loved the writing and how each characters personality came through even with minimal "screen" time. Also loved this take on fae, often they're either pure evil, super magically powerful or a reason to play with gender (all of which are fun ofc), but I like this balanced version of them. Claudia and John were a highlight, they (especially John) are such a heartwarming show of genuine familial love and it just makes me melt

“He can't blame me for the fact that I live in a building full of people united in the singular effort to ogle Hot Fireman as often as humanly possible."
Laura laughs, loud and echoing in the empty restaurant.
"Hot firemen can make a girl do crazy things," she agrees, nodding towards her brother's name on the menu. "Derek won't let me date anyone from his company, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate the eye candy."
"Send them my way," Stiles suggests, finally loading up a forkful of pie. "Apparently I'm incompetent enough that I need to be babysat at all times, because it would be cheaper than dispatching a truck every time I try to use a kitchen appliance."

Summary
"That sounds more like love to me," Lambad says nonchalantly.
Kaveh points at him accusingly. "It is not love, it is turmoil. I am in turmoil."
Kaveh turns to Al-Haitham then, and part of him visibly softens at the sight. "Well, maybe part of it is love," he concedes. "I'm in love with you, Al-Haitham, did you know that?"
Al-Haitham, despite himself, smiles. It makes Kaveh's eyes widen. "I do know that, Kaveh. You told me a few nights ago, do you remember?"
"I think so."
"Good. Then you should remember that I told you to tell me that when you're sober, and maybe then I'll say it back."
Kaveh squints at him. "'Maybe?' What do you mean by 'maybe?' I have changed my mind. You are a bastard, and I am not in love with you."
There is no winning with Kaveh. But maybe, there is no losing either.
In which Kaveh keeps drunkenly confessing to Al-Haitham.
