Summary
“But with Bobby, I’ve been trying to do better,” Eddie says.
A hand rests on his shoulder, a thumb stroking. It’s a familiar gesture, but the fingers aren’t calloused enough to be her brother’s. Maddie’s fingers are slimmer, more delicate. It eases the hurt all the same.
“I think you have been,” Maddie reassures him, “at least you’re not joining illegal fight clubs this time. Just very legal book clubs.”
Eddie snorts. The callout was unexpected.
“You’re not what?” Karen’s eyes bulge out of her head as she sits back down.
Eddie chuckles and finally meets Maddie’s gaze. “I hate that Buck tells you everything.”
OR: Eddie joins a book club with Maddie and Karen after Bobby’s death, while Buck slowly drifts away.

Summary
Closing in on a year since Vecna's defeat, Hawkins resembles normalcy once again. But Steve Harrington is still drowning. Everything has changed for Steve, yet the town of Hawkins has gone back to normal for the first time in at least a decade. Everyone returning to the life they had, to the loved ones they fought for. But Steve finds himself more isolated than ever. He is sinking, yet doing his best to pretend he isn't, unsure how to ask for help, unsure if he deserves it. The only one who sees past the pretense, who understand his struggle, is Eddie 'The Freak' Munson.
*
This fic is not canon compliant, it takes place almost a year after season 4 in which (in this fic) Vecna was defeated. This story is not just a Steddie fic, though Steve and Eddie are the main focus, it will have also highlight other characters and other relationships.
This is a story about accepting yourself, being loud and proud, and seeing past prejudices.Bookmarked by D1_911fein

Summary
"..Why is he looking at me like that?" Asked Draco, his voice hoarse after being slammed into the damn wall. He'd deal with Granger later.
Snape turned around, realising that Potter was, indeed, staring longingly at Draco.
Snape let go of his collar, watching as Potter stared at Draco, biting his lip. Literally.
Potter had only ever stared at him like that in his imagination.
Draco looked from between Snape and Potter, a horrified expression on his face.
"Mate?" Asked Weasley, trying to walk closer to Potter, obviously taken aback at his odd behavior.
Potter not taking his eyes of Draco, spoke; "Why do I have to fight the urge to fucking kiss Malfoy right now?"Bookmarked by D1_911fein

Summary
“You don’t need to explain yourself,” Buck assured him, wishing more than ever that he could crawl out of his own skin. “I didn’t mean to push. I was just going along with the game—”
“No, it just wasn’t meant to be like this," Eddie groaned out finally. Buck sucked in a sharp breath, freezing in his step.
“Like this?” Buck repeated carefully as he tilted his head slightly. “What… what does that mean?”
-
Or, Buck and Eddie finally realize they can’t keep pretending during a game of True American.
-
Based on some of my favorite Nick and Jess moments in New Girl—specifically, the scene from 2x15: “Cooler”.
