Summary
“You gave me a part of you and I’m returning the gesture because you’re my best friend in every universe and I don’t want to lose you. We can protect each other from afar and think about the other during bad nights, it’ll be our biggest treasure!”
It was the delicate promise of a naive youth. And now the precious memory haunted their narrative especially after the tragic announcement of Katsuki Bakugou's kidnapping. These pieces were the last reminder of his best friend's existence that took a heartbreaking turn over the years, unaware that the fond ghost who erased his tears is the same man who saw his youth stolen by his parents' lies.
Or: Izuku and Katsuki knew each other since their childhood days until the blond went missing, except he never left and Katsuki had no other choice but to be condemned to see his best friend mourning a loss that never happened.
