Summary
You don't hesitate to raise the blade and lunge, swinging it through the air with deadly precision. It should have sliced across his chest, right where his heart is, but he moves at the last moment, twisting his torso just enough for the blade to miss its mark. Instead, the dagger slices through his suit, carving a jagged line through the fabric, and the wine glass drops to the ground, shattering across the polished marble.
A dark scowl crosses his face, and you meet his gaze with a defiant stare.
"You dare show your face here?" you snarl.
The man scoffs and dusts the front of his jacket. He doesn't seem phased by the fact that he nearly had a blade lodged in his chest. "You didn't think I would miss your big day, did you? You're my baby sister, after all."
