Summary
The first time it happens, Kidd thinks it's all just one weird ass dream.
One moment Akagami's attack slams into him, agony flaring in every fiber of his body, the next he opens his eyes back in his quarters in Wano and yeah, it's easy to blame it on too much booze.
It's a bit weird to see things happening just as they did in his dream, but he doesn't bother dwelling too much on it. Not when it's so fun to rile Trafalgar up, or when the midget falls for his taunting with amusing predictability.
It's only after they part ways that he starts to actually give it some thought. Because everything is identical to his dream and like it or not, that means the chances of actually encountering Akagami are high.
Hours later, as he slams in the mast again and feels darkness creeping at the corner of his eyes, he can't help but wonder if it actually wasn't all a dream to start with.
Three redoes and defeats later he's well and truly aware that no matter how much he’d hoped everything was a dream, he's actually stuck in a time loop that is getting frustrating progressively fast.

Summary
Shanks’s soul has grown darker, since he left the (Un)holy land.
It was not because of any choice, choices, decision, or decisions that he made.
Save one choice he made when he first entered Mariejois.
A choice he only learned about the full consequences of long after he had made it.
Which is just the way the person responsible for that poisoned choice prefers things.
(The Shallows Covenant does more than just make the holders obey Imu when they’re within range).
(Only the Red-Haired Pirates know that Shanks was the first person Luffy freed).

“What the fuck did I just fix?” Ikkaku breathes out. She’s keeping one hand firmly on Law’s shoulder, out of sheer instinct, but the other is creeping towards her boilersuit’s hidden pocket and the knife tucked inside.
“As I said, my voicebox! Oh, it’s going to be so delightful to hold a proper conversation again, and- AHA! SHACHI!” Somewhere else in the ship, echoing down the metal corridors, they hear the young man’s startled shriek, presumably as the- Tang? Ghost of the Tang? Talks directly to him. “Yes you, stop screaming, it’s only me- stop leaving your dirty clothes lying about! Don’t you know how much bacteria can generate from just a single smelly sock? Captain is quite particular about such things, as you good and well know-!”
“...Ikkaku,” Law mutters, while the voice abruptly drops in volume a second time - they can still hear the echo of it, elsewhere, presumably continuing to fuss at Shachi, but it’s no longer talking in two places at once. “Our ship talks.”
