The subtle recognition is enough to cause a falter in her step. The very precise choreographed action that followed her with each move from school to school, state to state Gina Porter knew how to stride through crowded halls with her head tilted upward.
The practiced movement was thrown for a loop in the face of a century-old dance between her and the very awkward-looking curly-haired boy at the end of the hall.
