Not everyone knows, but BlackHat isn't immortal. His hat is a parasite that slowly eats away at the host, and once it's done, it moves on to another with powers and all. Flug has worked for a few Blackhats now, having to watch them grow and then break down is the hardest thing he's ever done, and it always be. But maybe, this time might just be different.

Petey's complaints are cut off as he sees the contents of the box laying on the floor.
Namely, a dildo and a tiny bottle of lube.
The toy is clear, made of a material that he can’t quite name. Petey feels his mouth go immediately dry as he examines it closer.
It’s lined with barbs.
Petey doesn’t say anything, waiting for something to happen. Dog Man stays hidden behind his hands, seemingly content with standing there as long as he needs to avoid making the first move.
“...Is that yours?” Petey finally asks lamely, being met with a long, drawn-out, tortured whine.

Summary
He runs out the first chance he gets, and in hindsight Petey knew it was a bad idea — bringing his son to the set he’s filming the movie at. Now here he is, chasing the kid through a city he doesn’t know and trying to hide from the people that recognize his face. And then the worse case scenario happens: the only one who — reluctantly — helps him stay out of the fray is someone who hasn’t seen a single one of his films.

Summary
The only problem now was that no matter how much Petey might want to talk to Dogman, short of writing down all his answers, Dogman wasn’t able to reciprocate. Human vocal chords hadn’t been included with the human body transplant, which limited Dogman in this small, but suddenly extremely important way.
After months of trying to unalive the guy, Petey actually wanted to have a conversation with him on equal footing. And he couldn’t. And he was pretty damn annoyed about it!

You'll remember soon enough that Petey's dad is not worth a lick of salt, though it may turn out in favor of our star-crossed lovers. Love manifests in so many forms, and buds and blooms in so many ways. A slice of life can quickly become a slice of horror when the right dominoes fall, and what is more horrific than knowing that you're finally safe?
