It was useless to linger on the past – an old, worn-out saying that fit Satomi despite his young age – but some nights, he let himself imagine. Fantasize. During these karaoke sessions, he had watched Kyouji's profile extensively – at first simply to understand how he used his mouth and throat to (badly) sing and later, because tearing his eyes away seemed like a waste – and even now, a few years later, he could map his face out just by closing his eyes. Kyouji was handsome sure, there was no doubt about it but what threw Satomi's heart into a frenzy wasn't his good looks – god, he'd be so annoyingly happy to hear the boy say that about him – but something else. Un je ne sais quoi as some fancy Tōkyō telecaster would say, a charm few could imitate. Perhaps it was the yakuza aura – none of his “bros” possessed it though, even their boss lacking it.
Or: Satomi stumbles on a drunk Kyouji and brings him back to his apartment. What happens next is obvious – after all, alcohol makes one let go of their inhibitions, doesn't it?
