“I can fix it. I- I will fix this, I promise”
“You’re a Black. You can’t fix something that’s ingrained in your blood, Sirius.”
Sirius was hurt, but he still wanted to fix things for Remus. He understood why he couldn’t be a part of the resolution himself, but he could still help. He would make Remus forget he ever existed, that way Remus would be happy again.
It was easy, Sirius made his plan in the span of an hour. He just needed to avoid being in the places Remus enjoyed, sit at the back to avoid making him uncomfortable in classes, avoid mealtimes, and get him to make new friends. Maybe even a new boyfriend. With that in mind, Operation Happy Moony began. -

Summary
After Remus forgave Sirius because of the prank, nothing was the same. Sirius acted like he was walking on eggshells every time they were around each other, and Remus hated it. Granted, he hadn’t been the nicest to Sirius, but he was the victim here. Remus only wanted to see Sirius try a bit harder, but he wouldn’t. Still, Remus didn’t expect him to go MIA on his birthday. Neither did he expect to find him in a closet.

Summary
After the prank, the Marauders won’t even breathe near Sirius. Sirius is so lonely even Regulus can tell something’s wrong. Seeing his brother alone for months starts worrying him, so he starts spending more time with him. It takes Regulus weeks to get Sirius to open up to him about what happened. After getting Sirius to tell him the whole story, he helps him see that Severus manipulated him to tell him the secret. Desperate to help his brother out, he comes up with an idea. They will throw Sirius a small birthday party, close friends only, and they’ll invite Sirius’ friends. Sirius will explain everything to them, they’ll celebrate, and his brother gets his life back. Regulus thinks it’s an easy fix. They are Gryffindors, after all. Surely they know about the awful birthdays Sirius has had at home; there’s no way they’ll turn him down on this one day. Or so he thought.
