You, reader, are saved from HYDRA by the Avengers. You are allowed to stay at the Avenger's compound while you recover. At the same time, Thor convinces Tony to let Loki stay there too. But nothing is ever as simple as it should be.
In an AU sometime after Age of Ultron but before Civil War where they have literally any time with everything being okay before stuff starts happening.
