“It’s been awhile, Zhan-ge.”
That’s an understatement. Wang Yibo hasn’t seen Xiao Zhan in over a decade, ever since Yibo left their small town at the age of 13 to pursue his dreams of being a star. He thought it might be harder to see Xiao Zhan in person like this, that there would be a sharp pain he’d need to steel his expression to hide. But it’s the opposite, like taking a sip of hot tea or being wrapped in a warm blanket as he stares at Xiao Zhan. The tall man looks older, but he still looks like Yibo’s childhood friend from all those years ago.
