    Shadow squinted, looking at the crowd of Mobians, and cursed when he spotted a flash of bright blue in the middle of a swarm of excited girls.

    When green eyes met red, Shadow’s heart clenched at how desperate the usually cool and confident hedgehog looked at him.

    He growled, and while most of the crowd started to back off, a few of the more stubborn ones looked at him with disinterest.

    “I want you to play along, but hit me if you’re uncomfortable,” Shadow whispered into Sonic’s ear as he wrapped an arm around Sonic’s waist.

     

    In which Shadow has a dilemma: he's jealous. Of how close Sonic lets Amy be. Of how close his fangirls think they should be. Of everyone invading the blue blur's personal space. And then he finally acts on it. What happens next?

Shadow is a twenty-year-old, quiet med student, and absolutely down bad for the curvy hedgehog who keeps feeding him coffee, cupcakes, and accidental emotional intimacy.

    Or: Sonic thinks he’s too old to be somebody’s real obsession… Shadow very much disagrees.
