Summary
Nearly destitute after coming home from Afghanistan, omega John Watson tries to find work as he heals from the war. But a new law passed when he was away, mandating testing of all adults for latent guide abilities. Suspecting he might be a latent guide but with no interest in being forced to bond with a sentinel, he obtains a new identity to avoid being taken by the authorities and finds work in a rehab clinic. There he meets a fascinating sentinel who takes him on a wild adventure and makes him seriously reconsider his decision about bonding. But can John escape being captured and at the same time avoid a certain alpha who wants to force John to become his omega before he can make up his mind?

Greg has delicious dreams post-divorce.
Are they a little questionable? Absolutely! But will he question them? Nope.
His fantasy man just knows how to take care of him so well, it definitely helps that the figure is reminiscent of a certain three piece suit wearing, 'I have a minor role in the British government', gentleman.
Or maybe he's just growing more delusional with his age. Just gotta wait it out and see.
That is, unless the figure makes a move first.

He took the steps two at a time and threw open the door with an imperious, “For the love of God, it had better be a seven.” But then his bluster deflated and he whizzed to a halt.
John stood on the stoop with Rosie on his hip. Two suitcases were crowded behind them, threatening to tumble backward onto the kerb and vomit their overstuffed contents. It had been five months since Sherrinford, and a quiet drive home, and John returning to his daughter in the home he’d bought for his dead wife.
“Hello.” John fidgeted, rebalancing Rosie’s weight. “It’s been a minute, yeah? Thought we’d…” He shook his head, paused, frowned. “Are those new goggles?”
“No.” Sherlock watched Rosie chew her finger. Unable to rein in his traitorous hope, he asked, “Why are you here?”
John and Rosie move back into 221b, and life takes on a new normal: one where John smells like Sherlock’s mate, Rosie smells like his daughter, and Sherlock tries his damndest to ignore the evidence. But how long can the world’s only consulting detective avoid coming to the obvious conclusion?
