Summary
Mid-year, you were to take the place of another math teacher, take over his lessons and finish what he had started. You were the miracle the students were praying for, they saw you as their savior- despite your ignorance to the entire situation. Your ignorance to what kind of man the original teacher really was.
The longer you stay and the more you get to know your coworkers, the more you want to leave, to escape while you still could. But the students, they needed you, and you weren't going to give up so soon.
