Summary
Hashirama sighed, patient as ever. “He’s proud. And he’s protective. You should try to be more benevolent toward him. It might ease things.”
Tobirama turned his head just enough to give Hashirama a look.Benevolent. Toward Izuna.
Hashirama didn’t understand. He saw the clan heir, the disciplined fighter, the composed Uchiha who stood beside Madara like a shadow with perfect posture.
For Tobirama, Izuna was a feral creature wearing the shape of a man. If he tried benevolence, Izuna would turn venomous and maul him to death.
Izuna didn’t respond to softness. He responded to challenge, pressure, danger — the same way a wild animal did when cornered.A good thrashing would set him straight.

The stray cat — no longer stray, since Izuna had named her Katon, fed her, and cuddled her — padded in at the smell of food. She walked across Tobirama’s body as if he were a tatami mat and settled beside his face, on the empty side of Izuna’s chest.
Tobirama stirred, fully intending to throw the creature out the same window he’d thrown the scroll through. The cat bared her teeth and hissed — a clear warning that any attempt to dislodge her would cost him an eye.
Feral beast. Filthy thing.
Sitting across his face, over Izuna, as if it were her turn to receive Izuna’s attention.
