Summary
In this story there is no prophecy of the chosen one, no psychopathic maniac trying to kill an innocent child.
At ten years old, Magnolia had only one certainty. She wouldn't be like her parents; she would, she needed to, be better than them. Her parents were, at best, cruel and horrible people to be around; it never made sense to her, but she always knew deep down that there was something very wrong with them. At such a young age, she already knew how to mask and demonstrate to everyone what was expected of her: the sweetness and obedience expected of the daughter of Bellatrix and Rodolphus Lestrange.
At ten years old, Harry had only one certainty. He absolutely wanted to be like his parents; for him, being different from them was a failure as a person. His parents were without a doubt the happiest and most loving adults he had ever known; they were the soul and joy of their entire environment. Pampered by his parents and their friends, at such a young age, he already had the confidence to be himself, possessing the rebelliousness and kindness expected of the son of Lily and James Potter.
