    “Can I get a name for that?”
    “Bakugo.”
    Izuku’s hand froze over the screen. Slowly, he looked up at the customer, his carefully crafted work facade falling.
    The boy’s blond spikey hair was sticking out everywhere like an explosion, framing his face and getting in the way of his bright red eyes. The light coming in through the window broke against his UA uniform and his raised arm that was holding his phone, which he hadn’t looked up from once.
    Izuku’s voice caught in his throat, but he managed to choke out a stammer.
    “K-Kacchan?”
    His head shot up and he looked at Izuku for the first time. His eyes widened, but it was impossible to tell what from. Shock? Horror? Recognition? Surprise? Maybe a mix of all of it? His voice came out in a coarse whisper, laden with emotion.
    “Deku?”

    After seeing all the issues that her son was going through, Inko decided that enough was enough and moved the two of them away. Izuku took this as an opportunity to cut ties with Kacchan and ended up working at a local cafe. But, what he wasn't expecting was that his childhood friend would walk right through the front door four years later.
