“You’ll never have to see them again, Powder,” Vi whispers into her hair. “Any of them.”
A beat of silence occurs. One where Powder goes still, and the sniffling ceases against her chest. It’s in this moment that Vi will remember forever how her sister doesn’t reply, how the fingers on the back of her shirt slacken. And it’s in the next that everything changes.
The hands that were on her waist suddenly appear on her jaw, and Vi doesn’t open her eyes to see what she’s doing. Doesn’t have time to think, because suddenly, the still air is replaced with puffs of warm breath against her mouth.
And then Powder presses her lips to hers.
Vi and Jinx escape the Firelights without Caitlyn and take refuge in an abandoned warehouse. And shatter their moral compass—a lot.

Many Arcane fic writers are not League of Legends players, the video game that the show is based on, so I put together this primer to help writers create canon-compliant works. It includes: character ages, the show's timeline, characters' in-game bios (with commentary about their connection to Arcane), an overview of the Piltover/Zaun conflict, brief descriptions of the surrounding regions, and detailed descriptions of Piltover/Zaun's layout and geography.
To do: world timeline, local religion(s), species, magic
Now with visual aids to help spark inspiration! There's maps of both Piltover/Zaun, their denizens and the technology they created, and some glimpses into the world around them. (Best viewed on desktop, as they're quite large.)
