Summary
It’s been four years since Koby’s joined the Marines, and two years since one of the greatest power struggles in the world took place between pirates and the government. More importantly, two years since Straw-Hat Luffy became the Pirate King.
Personally, life’s been great for Koby ever since he joined. He’s climbed the ranks at record speed, ultimately obtaining the rank of a Rear-Admiral. His life-long dream of being Fleet Admiral is in sight, and it seems that everything is finally working out for him.
Until a certain pirate that Koby happens to have a major crush on comes flying into his window and asks to kidnap him. Trust a pirate to show up out of the blue and successfully ruin Koby’s life for the better. Again.In which Koby has to join the Straw-Hat pirates in order to bring down a child trafficking ring, all while being hopelessly in love with a pirate. The typical stuff, really.

“It's good to see you too, Captain Luffy,” Koby replies softly.
Ah, right. Koby still gets flustered by people looking at him too long. He doesn't know why. He's very nice to look at, even more so after that growth spurt he had. Luffy leans back in his chair and slings his feet up onto the table. If he's relaxed it should help Koby relax, too.
“Looks like you had fun! What happened, huh?”
Koby looks back up to him, offering him a little smile. His heart skips a beat. Only Koby's smiles make his heart beat funny, but it's not something he'll ever complain about.
“Oh, the usual. My crew and I docked at an island to restock and stumbled across trouble. Human traffickers, this time.”
“And ya beat ‘em up?”
Koby laughs before replying, “Thoroughly.”
Luffy smiles and nods.
“Good! So why’re you in here then?”
Koby smiles nervously.
“I might have made someone mad…”
He puts his hands up to rest on the table, and Luffy frowns. There's heavy manacles clamped around Koby's wrists. And judging from the redness of his skin, they've been there for a while.
“Who put you in those.”
