Basically, Freddie and Brian force John to go to some New Year's Eve party, only to leave him on his own to find his way around. John meets a blonde angel who he spends the night at the party with, popping champagne, drinking some, spilling some, you know, the works.

Summary
It's 1979, the time for partying and roller skating. Roger isn't all too happy when Freddie brings them to a disco themed roller rink, to say the least. Believing he would have no fun all night, it was kind of a surprise when he meets a handsome stranger. Besides his somewhat shy personality, John takes control of the whole rink with his graceful skating, everyone has their eyes on him. At least, that's what Roger thinks.
Or : Roller Rink AU in which John is even more of a funky dude and Roger doesn't like disco, but thinks John is attractive and sweet so he's willing to overlook that aspect.

Summary
Very loosely based on the song "Misfire". John & Roger's afternoon doesn't quite go as planned.
I suck at summaries. I'm so sorry.
Set obviously at some point before the Sheer Heart Attack album, but not terribly specific timeline other than that.
It was as if time had stopped for them both – though in reality it had only been about twenty minutes -- as if nothing else existed, or even could exist, except entwined limbs and soft, breathless moans and frantic, open-mouthed kisses. The breathy keening from Roger's lips as he thrust against John were noises made of sin itself.
