“Your pretty boy here will become a canary.” A cold sense of fear shoots down Minho’s spine at the crank’s words. They were alone out here and the man was jacked. There was no chance of reasoning. He beams and begins to dig his fingers into the wire encasing Thomas’ arm and pushes them in further. Thomas squeezes his eyes against the pain and Minho watches as his chest stutters as he tries to breathe through the pain.Or a supply run gone horribly wrong.

The one person that Thomas could always turn to, depend on, and trust was gone. Thomas was left with his heart burned in the last city and memories, flooding through his mind.
