Summary
He rushes to set the coffees down, going immediately into Officer Wilde mode. He double-checks that the oven and stove are off first before he makes grabby motions for Judy’s paws, which she hands over reluctantly, eye-roll included. Once he sees the only things that are burned are the donuts and Judy’s pride, she get the annoying and smug Nick back. It’s like he makes a point to sip his coffee extra loud.
“...Are you baking?”
She stares at her counter like it’s a crime scene. The donuts are charred black and hard as hockey pucks. She sort of wants to throw it as hard as she can to see if it will break her window.
"I’m not sure I could call this baking.”
or;
Judy is good at a lot of things. Turns out baking isn't one of them. But she's determined to fix this, no matter how long it takes.
