Summary
Set in the 1950s/1960s.
Dazai and Chuuya are teachers at a preschool, and they have been friends practically their whole lives. Due to a rumor (which quickly escalated in a turbulent way) that started with a lie told by one of the children they taught, they soon find themselves in a situation where their city, their jobs, and their colleagues turn their backs on them.

Dazai y Chuuya son profesores en un colegio preescolar, además de eso son amigos de, prácticamente, toda la vida. Debido a un rumor (el cuál rápidamente escaló de forma turbulenta) que comenzó desde la mentira de uno de los niños a quienes enseñaban, pronto se ven envueltos en una situación donde su ciudad, sus trabajos y sus colegas les dan la espalda.
