Summary
Midoriya Izuku was born the son of the greatest supervillain in Japan's history. But that legacy would mean turning his back on the heroes with whom he's been obsessed ever since he could talk. With a quirk that copies rather than takes, Izuku's future is up to him, especially when catastrophe strikes and he is left orphaned.
He could fall to the dark side, living in the shadows until consolidating the power his father held. Or he could continue into the light, with the assistance of a caring, but stern, underground hero. In the end, only Izuku can make the choice.

Summary
It took nearly losing his childhood friend for Katsuki Bakugou to realize the error of his ways, and the effect his words had on Izuku Midoriya. After watching two of his co-bullies nearly cause Izuku's death, Katsuki discovers the boy means far more to him than he thought, and vows to make up for the years of hell he had put the boy through. Once again being genuine friends, Katsuki and Izuku seek to become heroes together by attending UA, a goal made easier by All Might stepping into their lives two years before the Entrance Exams, offering both boys special training with UA faculty to prepare them, and giving Izuku One for All over a year before the entrance exams.
Meanwhile, a few prefectures over, another boy sets his sights on the top hero academy in all of Japan as well. The boy, wielding a psychic quirk that caused chaos when it manifested and nearly isolated him from the world, but which he managed to get control over a few years before the entrance exams, promises the spirit of his late father that he'll become a hero. A hero who will prevent more kids from ever having to deal with the grief of losing a parent to a villain attack. For what is a hero, if not someone who saves?
