But Riki… As expected Riki left a whole different kind of ache in his heart, especially knowing he was so close yet so far, bound by the same company yet forced to be away from each other by circumstances.
Separated, at that moment, by just a few floors.
The live ended and Heeseung kept staring at the black video frame that indicated the stream was over, worrying his teeth over his bottom lip, knowing he was about to make a rather stupid decision. Well…how bad could it be to dodge the chairmen's emphatic recommendations of avoiding his former group mates for a little while, and pay Riki a brief, harmless visit…? Just to, well… check how he was doing… ?
In retrospect, maybe that’s what possessed him to risk everything and go down there, after all.

Riki chuckles. “I don’t think I’m the one you need to be saying that to.” They continue to stare, quietly assessing each other like silent killers. Jay doesn’t move, neither does Riki. His breath feels caught, like if he exhales the entire essence of reality would crumble around him.
Riki isn’t putting up a fair fight. His shoulders are drawn back, neck straight, looking down at Jay like he’s some filthy, low-life creature. Jay shivers. Riki smiles.

“They are very pointy,” Jay observes out with a low tone.
“Sharp.” Riki assists his hyung, saying the word as best he can with his mouth open full of Jay’s two fingers. Jay touches the canine, now understanding how it must hurt Riki due to the elongated shape of it, truly like a vampire. Jay wonders if it were possible to bite someone with those.
Would it draw blood? Would it successfully puncture the skin? Out of all things, Jay really wonders how the set of fake teeth will feel on his own neck.
