Summary
The dining room at Grimmauld Place had always felt claustrophobic to Sirius, but tonight was particularly so.
Shadows clung to the high walls, curling in the corners like whispered threats. He could picture his long-dead Mother hiding in the darkness, waiting to cause him pain. Sirius sat hunched forward in a creaky chair, fingers drumming a furious rhythm against the old wood of the table. Across from him, James leaned back with his arms crossed, doing a poor job of pretending not to be tense. Remus sat between them, at one head of the table, hands clasped, stillness disguising the storm behind his amber eyes. Professor Walsh, ever serene, poured tea like they weren’t waiting for a bloody Death Eater to walk through the door.
“I still don’t like it,” Sirius muttered, loud enough to break the silence. “Calling a meeting like this. No details, no heads-up. At Grimmauld of all fucking places. Just, 'show up, be quiet, and trust the headmaster.'"
“You’re not the only one.” James kicked lightly at the table leg. “Since when does Dumbledore give us anything more than the bare minimum?”
“The Order has become more compartmentalized for a reason. Security. No one knows the full picture.”

Summary
The music on Peter’s radio blared out a song James had never once heard in his life. He took a double take and listened closer to the lyrics.
Ah.
He looked over at Peter, who was nodding along to the slow rhythmical beat of the song, and sent him a questionable look.
Peter glanced, and James gestured over to the radio.“Something about you.” Peter said. James threw him a helpless look.
“What about me?” He furrowed his eyebrows thoughtfully. Peter laughed.
“The song, James. It’s called Something about you.” He explained.
“Oh. Right! Thanks, Pete!”

Summary
There were people surrounding him. A small child, no more than five years old, crashed into his side before laughing and running after her older siblings. Leo pulled his trunk closer to him as he looked at the growing crowd waiting for the Hogwarts Express. He had never been around this many witches and wizards before.
Suddenly, he saw them. Sirius Black’s long, curly black hair was styled into a low bun. Lily Evans Potter looked as infuriatingly beautiful as she did when she herself attended Hogwarts. James Potter cackled loudly at something Remus Lupin had said. And, next to James Potter, stood Harry Potter, laughing along with this father.
Leo hated all of them. They didn’t deserve to be happy—to stand there smiling—while his own family was torn apart.
Or, when he was seventeen, Regulus Black's son, Leo Sirius Black, was born. And, on October 31, 1981, Lord Voldemort murdered Regulus Black, leaving Leo an orphan.
