“Oi Bakugo, wanna head to the arcade?” Lackey no.1 asks, as if there isn’t a boy breaking down in front of them.
Are you fucking joking? Izuku seethe’s in his mind.
Through blurry eyes, Izuku sees Katsuki give him a once over of disgust.
“Whatever,” Katsuki grunts, yelling, because all he does is yell all the time. “I’m not paying though!” He adds, walking out of the classroom, the two flunkeys strolling behind him.
“Sure, sure.” Lackey no.2 responds with ease, used to Katsuki’s bullshit.
Oh, what Izuku would give to be any of those privileged bastards.

That fateful day when he is told to die by his (ex) best friend, to give up by his number 1 idol, Izuku decides to take their advice.. and fails. Discovering he has a quirk—a heavily overpowered one at that— the flame in Izuku’s heart is alight again, and yet he knows he can’t be a hero; not to a corrupt, unjust system that favours looks over genuinity. And so, as he picks himself off the cold ground, Izuku is reborn, and Viridescent takes his first steps, bloody footprints tracing him.TLDR: your average immortal Izuku fic in my eyes :)
