The funny thing about all of this nonsensical sentimentalism is that Levi knows Erwin doesn’t love him. Hell, Levi isn’t entirely sure that Erwin is capable of romantic love, or any kind of love, really. But that has never been a problem for Levi. Erwin may not love him, but Erwin understands him. Their relationship has always been based on precisely that: understanding. The fact that Levi is, after all, in love with him is trivial.
