“My dear Mydei,” said his mother at dusk. Hot tea was served on a glass table along with red sponge cake. In her hands was a silk gold thread knitted shirt that she had almost finished. Her gaze softened as she looked at Mydei.
“In a year, you will be of legal age and will be able to take over the throne. I think you also understand your responsibilities, right?”
"Yes, Mother. I understand."
Mother Mydei hugged her only child affectionately. She released the hug with a quick kiss on the forehead, then continued her unfinished work.

“I have to get married? So soon...?” Mydei was a very devoted child, especially to his parents. But this time, he wasn't sure he wanted to be a devoted child anymore.
“Father has found a good candidate. Do you remember the wolf children who watched our match three months ago?"
Mydei nodded. “What about them?”
Gorgo fed Eurypon another large piece of apple, “The old elders delivered a marriage proposal letter right after father left the arena. A proposal to marry the young king to one of their wolf descendants.”
