Then again, Castiel has more faith than anyone he knows, and look where that’s got him. Dean didn’t see God, who Cas mindlessly seems to serve, help out when Uriel decided to go on a killing spree.

    OR:
    In 4x16, Cas figures out Uriel is the killer before they find Alastair, and Uriel almost kills Cas. Dean doesn’t know what to do, and he gets desperate. He gives praying a chance.
