Dolores isn’t close to Mirabel. As awful as that sounds, as guilty as that makes her feel, she knows it’s true. Their relationship now mostly consists of accidentally bumping into each other in the hallway, exchanging awkward talk, and sometimes dry looks over the dinner table when Camilo says something dumber than usual. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t know Mirabel, or notice when she’s acting off like she is now. Like weird-off.
Really, really weird.

Summary
Mirabel has been pushed to the side and forgotten again and again by her family. With a new baby on the way it was becoming increasing clear that there wasn't enough room in Casita for her anymore. So she made her mind up to leave. After all, if they had forgotten her birthday, surely they would have not trouble forgetting her. Right?

Summary
“See, after the Miracle almost died out the first time, it grew weak. The Miracle had been scarred in a sense, and with time would be destroyed completely. But my powers showed me how to fix it. I needed to go back to before the Miracle began to fall apart the first time, and keep it from ever being broken.”
It was a lot to take in, many of them had to sit down, unable to cope with the idea of their Miracle being destroyed forever.
Mirabel shared their looks of despair, before taking a deep breath and growing serious. “Tell us what we need to do, Tío Bruno.”
Older-Bruno smiled at her with a rather sad expression, like he missed her even though she was right in front of him.
Then he faced the others. “I need you all to sit and watch. You need to…see what will happen, if something isn’t fixed.”

Summary
In a reality where Casita didn't fall during the argument between Abuela and Mirabel and Isabela and Mirabel never made up. After the argument happens the Madrigal family is left in a somber mood. Later that night Julieta leaves a plate of food for Mirabel with Isabela after Mirabel doesn't open her door. Isabela begrudgingly goes to give her younger sister the food when she sees her do something drastic.
