Summary
It was late in the night, you knew you weren’t supposed to be out here on a hike but you couldn’t sleep. You had been out for a couple hours but you could still see just fine by the moonlight. A sudden loud rustling startled you. That was far too big to be the normal wildlife around here. You quickly hurried down the path away from the sound, but it was following. You couldn’t help it, you bolted off the path, away from the sound.
There was a surprised grunting before the noise continued to follow and you quickly found yourself in a clearing brightly lit. It was enough light to see that you had run yourself into a large circle of stones with no escape. You turned, the moon easily illuminating what was following you. It was a man.

You pushed through the door you chose, quickly finding yourself in darkness. You knew this place, it was his place and exactly where you had hoped to end up. The buzz seeped into your ears, signaling he was close by. His aura flickered into being a split second before he stood in front of you. You were frozen in place, entranced by how his being echoed through the space. He had picked the white suit, or you had found him at this point in his timeline. You never quite understood the whole overlapping existences that everyone shared, but at least your choices lead you to him again, whenever it was.

Bill watched the gorgeous brown Riviera pull up next to his standard issue Interceptor. While it was emblazoned with the sheriff markings and held an engine that let him at least be competitive against the other vehicle, he still felt envious of the man behind the wheel. Well, that wasn’t the first thing he felt for him, not by a long shot. Right now though, his emotions were a jumble. They needed to have a serious conversation.
Dean stretched as he climbed out of the driver’s side, catching sight of Bill waiting on his front step still in uniform. He must have just got home. He waved with a grin and walked over to give him a big hug. “It’s been too long.”
Bill couldn’t help but sink into the hug for a moment before ushering Dean inside. “Glad you could make it this month.”

Michael had thought it was going to be simple, but the longer he listened to Devon the more he realized he wasn’t sure exactly what was going on. “So wait. Just why can’t it be KITT again?”
Devon sighed and tapped the file on his desk. “They would know him on sight. While he might not be a player anymore, Garthe’s men weren’t all captured and the remainder know that black pontiac form rather well.” He frowned slightly. “I am not entirely happy with this either, but you would be more optimal than having the scientist himself do this.”
“Okay.” Sinking into the chair across the desk, Michael sighed. “Are you sure the tech will do this? That I’ll be fine afterwards?” He trusted Devon with his life, but this was still technically experimental.

Summary
Mitch set the man on the passenger’s seat of his SUV as he dug for a spare pair of shorts. He seemed lucid enough that a minute could be spared to reduce the man’s embarrassment. “What’s your name?”
The man’s eyes narrowed in concentration as Mitch handed him the shorts. “I…” He frowned, using Mitch’s offered arm as support as he struggled into the clothes. “I don’t know?” The surprise at the realization unbalanced him and he collapsed back into the car seat. Worry crossed his face as he looked back up at Mitch. “I should know that.”
“You hit your head harder than I thought. Come on, I’ll take you to the hospital.” He patted the man’s shoulder and shut the door before heading to the driver’s side. He was putting on a brave face, but an injury bad enough to cause memory loss could have far worse consequences if not treated.

Summary
The box in KITT’s passenger seat looked innocuous, but it had been from Cyndi. “A present for you and KITT,” she had said, “Devon helped.” and had given a wink. She’d then proceeded to make sure he promised to not open it until he and KITT were completely alone and had some free time.
They had that now, and Michael had to admit he was curious. He pulled the lid off under KITT’s watchful gaze. He couldn’t help the grin at the objects he pulled out. A dildo and a sleeve. The dick was studded in familiar components, and Michael felt inside the sleeve to find similar bumps lining that. “KITT, are these what I think they are?” He stoked quick, teasing fingers further inside the toy.
“They are.” The answer was far too calm for Michael’s taste and he gave another experimental stroke. “I have not interfaced with them yet.” There was humor in his tone now, and Michael pouted.
“No fun if you can’t feel.”
“It is also ‘no fun’ if I’m done before we start. I know very well you enjoy my voice as much as my pleasurable noises. Besides, I’d rather feel other things inside that; not just your fingers.”

Summary
A sleek black vehicle pulled into a parking spot, the shape familiar but the paint job wasn’t right. Didn’t they just decide on that yellow and red lower body paint to show how KARR was a lifeguard vehicle now? The light wasn’t yellow either, but that was certainly Mitch stepping out of the car. Maybe the vehicle was being grumpy again. Garner never knew with that thing, just that he kept Mitch out of excessive danger even if he went along with Mitch’s ‘adventures’.
The man was all bright smiles as he leaned on the desk in front of Garner. “Hi! I’m here to look at some files.”
Garner raised an eyebrow and looked him over. “Leather jacket is a bit of an overkill isn’t it?” He shrugged and stood. “Which files did you need?”
He straightened his jacket as if offended as he explained which case. That was way outside the lifeguard jurisdiction. “Look Mitch, you know I’ll let you look at stuff when it comes to your beach, but that’s out of state lines.”
“Who…” The man shook his head. “Name’s Michael Knight.”

Summary
Mitch and Gayle were being loud again about something inconsequential so KARR cut the sound from the communicator and continued to monitor the TV signals to pass the time. The door to the garage quietly opened and a tiny hand lightly tapped his paneling. This behavior was new for Hobie, but he respected the polite knock and opened the passenger door for him. He climbed in and struggled a moment with the door before KARR pulled it shut. There was a soft sniffle, and KARR couldn’t help himself, surprised. “Are you all right?”

Summary
Just a little more money was all he needed and it could get him a ticket out of here and some cushion to get food and a hotel in a bigger city, maybe see if he couldn’t find a way to look for missing persons himself. He knew logically he could probably just walk into a police station and point to himself, asking if he was missing, but something deep inside told him that law enforcement of any kind were to be avoided. He’d learned to listen to that quiet voice, it’s what kept him out of trouble and had him win those fights.
“...Garthe?” The voice held shock and surprise, and for a moment he ignored the man in front of him, trying to decide if the fish was salvageable. Likely he had been talking to someone else, but the guy stepped a little closer, almost cautiously, his voice sharp this time. “Garthe.”

Summary
The case began with a surprising arrival to Litefoot’s residence. Jago, of course, had paid him a visit, but that was not the surprising part, if anything, that was normalcy. No, it was the frantic tapping at his door around midday that was the unusual bit. He had opened the door to find a young man on the other side, looking supremely worried and harried. Litefoot had politely invited him in and to his drawing room for a small spot of tea to calm his nerves, and ostensibly get Jago into the conversation as well. Once the man had taken a long, shakey sip of tea, Litefoot finally asked what had brought him there.
The young man took a deep breath. “Thank you. Word is on the street you two can solve odd crimes and such. My girl has gone missing.” He looked down into his tea forlornly. “Which I’ve gone to the cops of course, but… Well, me and Sylvia, just lost a couple of friends to something in the streets and we’d heard noises of another couple being done-in in the same fashion.”

Summary
Two months, Michael mused with a soft smile at the other man puttering around his kitchen. He couldn’t really remember a relationship that had lasted even this long since Stevie, and that was unfortunate. He was happy, KITT was happy, and he hoped beyond everything Owen was happy. He really should show his appreciation somehow, especially with Valentines coming up. While it wasn’t Christmas, Owen seemed to enjoy most holidays a bit more than others.
It had almost been a surprise to see not long after Christmas the decal on Owen’s car change to simply “Owen: Party Consultant”, but Michael should have realized. It wasn’t like Christmas was all year round and Owen certainly didn’t seem like the retiring type. Regardless of the job change, Owen did still tend to reds and greens in his outfits, subtle hints to his true holiday preference.
He softly whispered into the air, knowing KITT could easily pick up his voice. “We should do something for Owen for Valentines.”
The reply was crisp in his ear. “I was wondering when you would remember what month it was.”

Summary
KARR was actually managing to fit in at the lifeguard station nicely. While initially reluctant, KARR eventually caved and decided to help keep an eye on the swimmers within his scanner purview, which meant whichever beach Mitch was at was very well protected indeed. He was still not much of a people-person, or people-car, but his gruff manner didn’t dissuade many of the lifeguards from at least giving him a warm greeting over the radio when they signed in.
Mitch was still the only one he’d directly work with, even though he didn’t need downtime or sleep exactly. Mitch was pretty sure though that KARR had taken to picking up local channels and watching late night TV in his downtime. In point of fact, he was positive as they were currently slowly following a shady-looking man that KARR had seen on the most wanted show the night before. While he appreciated the enthusiasm, this really wasn’t a lifeguard’s job and had mentioned so to KARR. Not that it stopped him from also asking KARR to keep track of the man.

Michael sighed and slumped further into his seat. “Do we have to?”
“It is our turn this year to host the Christmas party, Michael. And we did promise.” KITT lightly chastised him. “We’ve even taken the time to find someone to help, considering how much work you’ve had to do lately.”
Michael waved at the air with a slight smile. “I’m not the only one, KITT. You’ve done a lot too.”
“I do not tire like you do, though a break is always nice to pursue personal interests.” There was a moment’s pause. “I do believe he has arrived.”
“Owen, right?” Michael stood up from his recliner and straightened his shirt as he headed to the front door. “Hate to forget his name or anything.”

Summary
A what if it had been Mitch to find KARR on the beach in 1984, the right place at the right time.
-------
It had been precisely 1 year, 11 months and 16 days since he had fallen into the ocean. It had been 1 year, 11 months and 15 days since he had been buried in the sand on shore. He had calculated his odds of getting out with the proper application of a turbo boost and found the chance of freeing himself was not one hundred percent. He instead found that if he put that same fuel towards hibernation he could likely last decades, if not longer, and eventually the water would wash away the sand.
But this day was unique. The human murmuring of words filtering through the sand was something he heard on and off, likely this stretch of beach difficult to reach under the cliff-face, but these were getting closer. Perhaps the water had done its job and he was closer to the surface than he had calculated. He flicked on his scanner, struggling to sense something beyond the layers of dirt. A single human, seemingly talking to himself. Something about alone time.

(also using @speightbingo square Uniform Kink)Griff took a moment to lean on his kitchen counter watching Lex pack his books. They had been living together for months now, figuring out just how well they worked and lived together. Turns out, amazingly well. Griff had reluctantly agreed to dismantling his apartment finally. At this point it was just a drain on money and existed just as storage. He’d found while doing a quick survey that nearly all the furniture could be gotten rid of, though Lex had agreed to make a little bit of room for another bookshelf and his chair. Lex’s apartment still had some wall space left yet. There were only a couple key spaces in this apartment Griff needed to go through to get the important things.

“Hey, want to go scuba at the reef with me today?” Mitch leaned into Craig’s field of view.
He blinked a moment, having been lost in thought over his newest case. “Oh, uh. Sorry. I have a court meeting this afternoon. Raincheck?”
Mitch sighed, shoulders slumping a little. “Well, I guess I’ll go alone then. Try not to work yourself too hard.” He patted Craig’s shoulder and walked back off to his office.
Craig watched him go, mentally pushing the case aside. He still had a couple more hours of work yet, he had just come back to base for a small break. Mitch’s remark had hit him a little harder than he thought it would. It had been awhile since they properly hung out together that hadn’t been as lifeguards. He still had to go to the court meeting since it was work, but he really needed to crack down on actually having some free time again. Sure he had started to balance out work, lifeguarding, and home, but there still needed to be a little bit of time for friends and fun.

Summary
The case this time was a missing brother of a young lady, Rita Wilcox, who worked in Vegas. They had been stationed near Vegas for so long, and Michael realized they hadn’t really visited it much. He was enthused they were going to be able to, and tried his best to get KITT in the spirit. He succeeded in that, but at the expense of a pile of money. Well, at least one of them was having fun.
He rendezvoused with Rita where she worked, Ceasar’s Palace, and that was where it all started.
“Garthe?” Rita had been confused, and her scent had a tiny hint of worry. He’d shrugged it off, rolling into his normal pitch. At this point he’d been at it long enough he very nearly had a spiel.
“No no, name’s Michael. Does that surprise you?”
