With a final thrust, Shaoyou let go, pleasure crashing over him like a tidal wave. “A-Yong!” he cried, the sound echoing in the space between them as his release shattered through him, sending him spiralling into bliss.
Hua Yong followed quickly on the heels of Shaoyou’s release, feeling the warmth of their bond ignite within him. As he filled Shaoyou, he buried his face in the crook of his neck, feeling the tightening sensation of his knot starting to form. “Hold on,” he murmured, his breath hot against Shaoyou's skin as he thrust harder, wanting to draw out the feeling between them.

He felt absurd—an alpha, usually so strong and composed, now crumpled into himself, quivering, needy, and utterly vulnerable. But the panic was real. The weight of the pregnancy hormones amplified every fear, every worry, and he let himself feel it fully.
“You…you left me,” he whispered, voice cracking, raw and uncertain. His hand brushed at his stomach, protective, desperate. “You don’t…love me anymore…”
Tears sprang unbidden to his eyes, warm and insistent. He buried his face in the pillow, letting soft sobs shake his body. “You…you got me pregnant and just…left?”
