Summary
You worked as the assistant to the detective in charge of the case of the infamous serial killer, Marksman. There has only been a few murders so far, but the effects of these cases were widespread and alarming; victims often being people knew and well-loved by their families, relatives, and neighbors. It's understandable that the people were starting to get more and more antsy as one more day goes by that the Marksman hasn't been apprehended yet, and everyone's eyes are now on you and your boss as they look forward to the Marksman's arrest.
You've always believed that you were in the cat's part of this little game of catch, with the law behind you ready to sentence the crazed murderer to a lifetime behind bars once you were able to put him in handcuffs, but there's only so much that the law can keep you safe from until you're on your own. Turn out, the scales are terribly fragile with their balance and the opposition can easily topple what control you had.
