Summary
“I didn’t mean to pry,” Richard says apologetically, leaning back, clear of Henry’s personal space.
Henry’s eyes flit up at him in benevolent amusement, and to Richard’s surprise he smiles, looking for all the world like a God entertained by the hubris of his worshippers.
“Maybe,” Henry says slowly, “you should pry more often.”
A series of vignettes that could nestle themselves in the space between paragraphs.

Summary
Richard Papen hates studying to be a doctor. He wishes he were doing something else with his time, something beautiful or terrible, anything to relieve the monotony of slowly throwing away a good career that he is not good enough for.
He finds himself in a low-budget exhibition about the moon landing, where a tall man sits down next to him and asks if man walking on the moon is something everyone else knew about. The tall man with the square jaw in the dark coat has a bruise on his neck and something on his mind he isn't saying, but he wants to interrogate someone about Homer and he needs someone to make him feel clever. Richard can do that. He has nothing else on.

Summary

In which Richard lives with Henry, Bunny still dies (good riddance), and nothing is the same.
