"How do you know Bucky?" Steve questioned as he crossed his arms, looking at his girlfriend with a raised eyebrow.
Natasha did the same as she crossed her own arms and looked at him. "Well how do you know him?"
"Because he was my best friend before I saw him-" Steve stopped short, " I thought I saw him die. In World War II."
Any sad look fell from her face, replaced with realization "Oh my god." She looked a little more embarrassed, something that no one ever saw. Natasha Romanoff wasn't a woman who got flustered. Her hand ran through her hair as she closed her eyes. "Let's just uh- let's just say I knew him-"
"Nat-"
"I knew him in the Red Room. He trained Widows." She finally said as she tapped her foot, heal clicking.
"He trained you? Nat, that's not that bad-"
Nat cut him off, "Bucky and I were..." She gestured out with her hands.
"...I don't get it."
"Oh my god, Steve. Come on." Nat said exasperated.
"I don't get it- I"

Steve's had an interesting time adjusting to the 21st century, but it's been a bit easier since the Invasion of New York. If it was good for one thing, it was that it introduced him to Natasha Romanoff, his best friend (whom he sorta-kinda made out with on a mall escalator and whom he would very much like to do that again with).
Needless to say, Loki and Steve don't exactly click.
