"The faint scratching of a pencil dancing on parchment and the soft snoring from the slumbering Babushka filled the silence of the living room as the Fairytale Enjoyer jotted down on one of several pieces of lined paper that he retrieved from inside the closet. Using the back cover of his storybook — devoid of intricate, bumpy carvings unlike that of the front cover — as a makeshift pad, he had laid himself down on his stomach on the wooden floor to write. It was a rather uncomfortable position in retrospect, yet he didn't wish to steal the abnormally tall man's couch space while the latter was away. Perhaps he was busy pilfering a can of beer or two from the kind Homeowner's fridge; the man seemed to prefer drowning his sorrows in alcohol over existing at all."

Struggling to write a story that he's satisfied with, the Fairytale Enjoyer asks the Morbid Romantic for help. Somewhere along his creative writing journey, however, he ends up falling for the older, gangrenous gentleman whose impending death is surely inevitable.
UPDATE (2 July 2026): Changed the fanfic's rating to Mature since I feel it necessary for me to explore the dark psychological themes surrounding Morbid Romantic.
