Summary
Maybe he'd been unconsciously hoping that Tsukasa would deny his point, defend himself and his honor, make justice to his Knightly personality, anything but stand there and stare at him reactionless.
"Yeah, that's what I meant-" Tori starts in an attempt to close and lock the subject between them once and for all, but Tsukasa as per usual disagrees with that plan and interrupts him.
"You seem to have very little faith in me, Tori-kun." Is what he chooses to say.
You haven't exactly given me many reasons to think otherwise, Tori wants to bite back, but he refrains because rather than feeling reactive, angry or even bitter, he just feels once again defeated.

Tori thinks his crush is utterly hopeless, but the very least he can do before properly giving up is giving his childhood friend one last birthday gift. Thankfully, Tsukasa isn't quite as oblivious as he seems to be.

Tsukasa considers me for a moment, those lavender eyes hiding behind his short eyelashes, and in that moment I can't tell what he's thinking at all. I know I've said before we don't get along, but the truth is, during the filmings for this movie it's been easier than ever to pretend as if we can behave normally to each other.
"...I suppose you're right, Tori-kun. There is no such thing as the threat of feelings, not between the two of us."
