The first lines appeared when she was a girl, about six years old when she’d asked her sister what they meant.
Satine had been nearing sixteen herself, her own marks on her triceps. A pair of wings in a tribal, ornate style that Bo could only ever describe as Mandalorian reached towards her elbows and an elegant swath of stars spread across her shoulder blades.
Her sweet smile, one that Bo-Katan still felt undeserving of its memory, had beamed as she’d gently taken her sister’s arm to inspect the ink that had appeared there.
“That’s your soulmate,” she beamed. “That means there’s someone out in the galaxy who is destined to be yours.”
