Summary
After a fragile “maybe” a couple of nights before, Regulus panics and pushes James away in the courtyard, denying everything they shared.
His harsh words shatter James and leave Regulus hollow.
Barty and Evan drag him into an empty classroom before he falls apart, forcing him to confront the truth he’s trying to bury: he’s terrified of wanting someone who could be taken from him. They remind him they know about the eating disorder he hides, the pressure from home, and how much last night meant. With crackers, blunt affection, and Slytherin loyalty, they steady him through the aftermath.
Regulus doesn’t promise anything, but he admits the “maybe” wasn’t a mistake, and that he doesn’t want to face any of this alone.

Summary
James came from a household where food wasn’t just a way to sustain life but a sign of love. He cooked because that was his way of showing he cared. Food, no matter what kind, had always been a way to show appreciation, apologize, say something no words could ever describe, so looking down and seeing an almost empty bag of dried berries, old ramen noodles and a water bottle made James tear up.
Regulus had a rather shitty week and everything just got too much. Him being Regulus, he lashed out on James for somehing minor.
They fight. They make up. It's emotional. Based on something I saw on the clock app. Bon Appétit.
