Firinne rested quietly against Wyll for a moment, replaying the vision over and over in her mind. “What do you think bearer of moonlight means?”
He looked down at her tenderly. “Well, you are beautiful when you glow.”
“All Paladins glow. I am nothing special.”
“That is most assuredly not true,” he said, slowly nuzzling her cheek with his nose. “You are the most incredible person I have ever met. You are radiant, kind, courageous, and steadfast. All the stars in the sky pale in comparison to your beauty. You are the laughter in my heart and the light in my soul. Thoughts of you consume every moment. I am humbled that I get to share a life with you.”
Her pulse quickened and she whimpered as she moved her lips towards his. “There you go with your poetry again,” she said in a low voice.
He smiled as his lips gently brushed against hers. “You wish me to stop being poetic?”
“Never,” she whispered.
