Summary
This AU was thought up by myself and @RainbowViper05- mostly by them, if I'm being honest. In this AU, the characters are performing DAWTDE (without the minecraft elements) as a musical for a community theatre.
Avery's character is named Mayon
Derek's character is named Derlorde
Hastur is the CHARACTER name- his real life name is Hayden.

d3rlord3, or rather, Derek Hutchins, had no clue what would happen to him after the King in Yellow invaded his tormented mind. He imagined the bittersweet bliss of death would await him, determined to make sure Hastur can harm no one else.
That's what he assumed, until he woke up in the hospital with an unfamiliar familiar face beside him.
Derek still suffers, of course, with all-knowing knowledge and chronic migraines.
But when he sees Avery, the boy who was willing to sacrifice the world to save him, it feels just a little bit better.
And now they're roommates--How the hell do you navigate a crush on your best friend while in constant proximity of each other!?
OR - derek survived & shares an apartment with avery. Domesticity and romantic tension ensue
