Summary
Helaena thinks of the horrors to come. There is no place for her when the dragons dance, not Helaena who has no appetite for blood and retribution unlike Aemond. There is no place for her, nor her children yet to come. It should stay that way, rings through Helaena's mind like the heavy chiming of bells as she makes her way to the window. When she reaches the alcove bathed only in moonlight, she presses her hand flat against the windowpane. She holds it there for a moment and thinks of Jaehaerys and Jaehaera and Maelor who need not be dragged into this world just to die bloody and alone. She thinks of rats and dead dragons and unrelenting mobs and knows, intrinsically, that she will never know peace. Her children, yet to be born, will never know peace, not unless she makes it. Helaena opens the window.
OR
Helaena knows what is coming, but in a turn of events, she is betrothed to Jacaerys. Will Helaena finally learn to live, or will Jace help drive her further off the edge?

Summary
These hands are quick, with practice and time.
With a little patience and a bit of suffering, Helaena was never afraid to undo the threads, not when she realized the mistake and could see the embroidery, perfectly made in her minds eye.
And Heleana has seen much. Has lived and died and been made anew. Could she not stitch something new for herself?
The war will come. The dragons will dance. But Helaena does not intend to fall alongside them. Not if she can help it. If she can help her half sister ascend the throne then she might just keep her family safe from themselves.
And if she has to betroth herself to Jacaerys Velaryon to do so then she hopes her mother won't scream herself mad too much.

‘’If being here is such a bother then why are you?" The words spill from her lips suddenly, before she can even think to stop them or think better of what she's saying.
All she knows is that she is sick and tired of Bellamy talking, sick of this push and pull game with the dark haired man. Sick of Bellamy choosing when and when not to care about her.
She voices as such. "You don't conduct my life, Bellamy. You don't get to make my decisions for me. Do you forget how you’ve constantly berated me lately? You treat me like the chore that no one wants to deal with. If that's how you feel then why don't you just go back to her and go to sleep and just leave me alone?"
‘’That's not what I've done,’’ Bellamy vehemently denies.
‘’Oh?’’
‘’It's not,’’ He says, voice much quieter this time. But persistent all the same. ‘’Everything I've done has been because I'm worried about you, Clarke, is that enough of a reason for you? I came because I'm worried for you! You've been doing nothing but spiralling out of control, and I am so fucking fearful that eventually you're going to make some kind of reckless decision.
