Summary
“It’s her.” The tall one suddenly said, pointing towards the entrance of the academy.
The whole genin squad bristled with anger, sending murderous glares in that direction.
The injured boy's hand subconsciously flew to his bandaged arm. “Fucking lunatic,” he muttered venomously under his breath.
Kabuto narrowed his eyes. From this distance, he could only see two things: the perpetrator in question was rather scrawny and had hair the color of cotton candy.
In which Sakura was never befriended by Ino and had to face her problems alone instead. With thoughts revolving around revenge on her bullies and a sole companionship of the Inner Sakura, she grew up to be... somewhat peculiar.
One day, her odd behavior and mysterious abilities are noticed by a certain spy, which gives rise to a unique bond that changes the course of history.

Summary
Kabuto turned his cup, appreciating the simple rabbit motif it was adorned with. It was cute, and he wasn’t entirely immune to the visceral charm of cute things. The rabbits’ longing eyes were made from the tiniest dots of shining, translucent, red resin.
He brought the cup beneath his nose and inhaled…
…then lowered it without taking a sip.
Kabuto raised his eyes to meet Takara’s.
“Awfully bold of you,” he said, plainly.

The pressure is on for a young Kabuto Yakushi as he is entrusted with bringing to fruition Orochimaru's vision for Otogakure through Project Tengai.
At the center of Kabuto’s research is Orochimaru's most prized specimen, the modest but precocious Takara Tengai, and the history of her functionally extinct clan.
Takara seeks to grow and learn as a kunoichi in Otogakure as she discovers the secrets of her clan and her ancestral lands, as well as her own dreams and desires. Meanwhile, the mystery of Project Tengai looms ever-present over Takara’s head as she navigates her new alliances and the treasured promises made to her along the way.
