Summary
Work as a prosecutor isn't well-paying or glamorous, but Ruby Rose is determined to fight against the horrific crimewave infecting the city of Vale with all of her intelligence and energy. Yet as she throws away small fish after small fish, the biggest target in her sights, Weiss Schnee, head of the Vale branch of the Schnee Crime Family, dances around her and eludes her grasp.

Summary
After graduation Ruby struggles to find a direction. Now that she is supposed to decide who she wants to be, she does not know what to do. As her friends all move on she seems to be left behind, dreading the changes this fall will bring about. During a rainy october day Ruby meets Weiss Schnee, a girl who has always known who she will be.
