    Summary

    Lucanis spent a year in the hell called the Ossuary with his personal demon, Spite. Now he’s free, and in a contract with a mismatched group called the Veilguard, led by an elf and fellow Crow named Rook. The contract itself is hard enough, but Spite’s obsession with Rook, and his own feelings towards her, makes killing two gods much more difficult.

    Rook knows what Lucanis went through, much more than anyone realizes, and is trying to not let her own feelings and past get in the way of helping him come to terms with his possession. Although sometimes, no matter how hard one pushes down their past, it will inevitably come back to haunt them.

    Can the two Crows navigate around their own past trauma, help each other break free from what haunts them, and defeat two gods before their world is swallowed whole?
