Andrew pulled off his shoes and lined them up neatly in the designated shoe spot by the door that he could never quite get Neil to utilize. He quietly set his bag down on his desk to be dealt with later and headed toward the closed door. Finding it unlocked, he opened it slowly in case Neil was asleep, and promptly felt his brain disengage as all thoughts spilled from his mind.
Neil was reclined against a mound of pillows in bed yet very much not asleep. He was, in fact, staring back at Andrew with something like panic mixing in with the surprise on his very red face.

Andrew had grown sick of the colour orange.
He has to deal with it enough being at a college that’s entire premise seems to rely on the retina-burning hue, his only apparent escape from it being when he’s able to get away to Columbia on the weekends.
But now it’s fall, and the leaves are turning all kinds of shades of orange, none quite as ghastly and bright as back at Palmetto State, but orange nonetheless.
The only instance in which Andrew isn’t sick of orange, not that he’d admit it to anyone, is when it comes to Neil.

Summary
Neil loved it when Andrew touched his stomach and his throat during sex. When he did, it was like every one of Neil’s senses sharpened and only focused on Andrew and his hands, but it was worse on days where he hadn’t seen Andrew in weeks because playing on different teams meant that they only had limited time together when they were both off.

He had woken up from a nightmare around three in the morning, almost punching Neil when he felt the touch of the younger man against his arm. He had sighed, pulling his fist back to his body, opening his palm so he could rub his face before he turned onto his side and watched Neil sleep, which had been happening for an hour at the point.
