Summary
Ava Sharpe has everything she has ever wanted. She’s a kickass Time Bureau agent who has worked her way up the ranks to become Director Rip Hunter’s right-hand woman and Assistant Director of the agency. Her coworkers respect/fear her, her go team is unrivaled, and her paperwork is pristine.

Ava smiles wryly. For seven years, she has been an exemplary agent: top of her class at Quantico, stellar performance reviews from every field office she ever worked at. She doesn’t understand how Director Hunter could do this to her, how he could stick her in this dead-end unit with the Bureau’s pariah. Ava clenches her jaw. Then again, she knows exactly why Hunter did what he did – but it’s no use dwelling on that now. Instead, Ava gets straight to the point.

Summary
Ava has been working for the Operative for about four years. They’re a clandestine group of spies working as a part of MI6 to manage matters of country security. This is the only job Ava’s ever known, and she’s one of the best. Over the years Ava’s heard the whispers of the League, a dangerous group of assassins that seem to run opposite the Operative in terms of goals and outcomes. What Ava never expected was that she might find herself closely tangling with one of the League’s best, Sara Lance. They keep crossing paths, but then one day, Sara just disappears and goes dark. That is until she shows up in Ava’s hotel room, suddenly needing Ava’s help.

Ava Sharpe lost her wife five years ago and has been raising their twins alone since they were three years old. In need of change to try and move on with her life she decides to head back to her hometown of Star City. She wasn't looking for love just trying to make a good life for her kids but then she runs into Sara Lance an acquaintance from High School who happens to be the Principal at her kids new school and she cannot seem to stop thinking about her, and her kids start to notice. Rekindling old friendships she left behind and trying to raise good human beings can be difficult but Ava is determined. She has a plan! But as we all know: "Make the plan, execute the plan, expect the plan to go off the rails, throw away the plan."
